Project Name:Royal Shakespeare Theatre Transformation Project, Stratford-Upon-Avon
Client: Mace Group.
Project completed: February 2008.
Description: During demolition to the rear part of the Theatre our Client uncovered a large section of original brickwork which was not tied in to the main theatre structure. At over 14 metres high and with piling work due to take place next to the unsupported wall Mace needed a solution quickly to stabilise the potentially dangerous masonry. CSS proposed installing DryFix ties and after testing on site proved successful installed over 500 ties to secure the wall and allow the site schedule to proceed as planned.
